Can You Stand One More Post About Kickstarter?

February 28th - via: nothingoverlooked.wordpress.com
Being tuned in to all things “Kickstarter” I’m always interested in reading news stories about it. In the last two days I saw a story about how film-maker Spike Lee used Kickstarter to fund a film project, and I just read the “from the editor” column in Smithsonian Magazine, about how a recent article that required travel to foreign lands, was funded with Kickstarter. Still another article came up about a publishing company that was going to use crowd-funding to fund and assess appeal for a book. (Read More)

Since launching this campaign to publish Pandamorphosis, many people have asked (after they get done shaking their heads and checking whether there is an exit where they can make a quick, unobtrusive escape,) where the original idea came from. I told... (Read More)

The Long and Winding Road...

.. to a finished book.  It's never a straight line.  The original idea for Pandamorphosis (before it was even called Pandamorphosis) was about a little girl, who wanted to adopt a panda from the zoo.  There was a bunch of stuff about her parents... (Read More)

Is it Time for STRETCH GOALS already? Huzzah!

February 14th - via: kickstarter.com
The philosophy and practice of stretch goals:  One of the things that the Kickstarter staff tell you, when figuring out your goal amount, think about whether you can break your project up into several phases. Maybe you can achieve funding for one... (Read More)
