HONOLULU, HI - Two days after the death of her brother-in-law, jazz musician Thomas Chapin, Hawaii documentary filmmaker Stephanie Castillo found herself listening to a public radio tribute. In that moment she realized she had to make a film about Chapin, a man The New York Times called "one of the more exuberant saxophonists and bandleaders in jazz." That was in 1998.
