“I’m a gamer who loves creating fantasy worlds, likes playing guitar and making digital art, and hates that food doesn’t cook itself. I picked up programming when I was about 11 years old. My love for game design and development stems from my brother – as a child, he was so very determined to learn how to program video games, to the point of buying a bunch of thick books all about introductory programming and spending countless hours learning the ins and outs of computers. He began teaching me, and we moved through a bunch of different programming languages and game engines (C/C++, Allegro, The Games Factory, Multimedia Fusion, Game Maker, QBasic, etc.). As a valuable learning experience, I began studying the physics and gameplay of video games – acceleration, jumping speed, collision detection, etc., until I felt I was proficient enough to begin coding my own platformer engine. Moving ahead though, I’ve been more of a silent indie game dev – creating short games and releasing them to a group of friends or posting across smaller forums, but that makes me even more excited to introduce Reobirth to the world!” (Read More)
