First printed in Swedish in 2014, the tabletop roleplaying game Symbaroum was translated into English and released worldwide in 2016. With the growth and success of the game, in 2021 Free League Publishing launched a Kickstarter campaign for Ruins of Symbaroum, which adapts the setting and special rules to the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition OGL (open game license) ruleset.
