With $19 million under their belt, the team unveiled the $21 million stretch goal: the salvage mechanic. This will allow players to search and scavenge for useful materials in both flight and FPS modes."Some citizens have asked if $21 million will mark the end of the funding campaign and the stretch goal unlocks," Roberts writes on the RSI website. "The answer is no."
Roberts says that further funds would be required in order to add new features in the game's pre-launch phase, pay Kickstarter the agreed upon 10 percent of funds, and to build and maintain the RSI website.
A poll is posted on the RSI site to ask backers what they think should happen when Roberts and his team reach their new goal of $23 million. Mike Mahardy is a freelance writer for various outlets, and is currently reading Hammerhead Ranch Motel by Tim Dorsey. You can follow Mike on Twitter.
