Gino is so broke that his taxi doesn't have a passenger seat. Or even an engine.

Pedalling away with his passengers on his back, Gino is clearly a determined fella. So when a young magical girl called Zoey asks for a long ride across a dangerous, fantastical land, he doesn't refuse.

Taxi Ride is inspired by Tim Burton, Hayao Miyazaki. Machinarium, and Limbo. It's an adventure game with plenty of puzzles to solve, many of which employ magic as solutions.

Take Zoey's ability to carry immaterial things like sounds and electricity, for instance. Gino also has a fishing rod that catches reflections, and an umbrella that shields the taxi from huge rocks.

You can see the game in action in the Kickstarter video.

Taxi Journey will have iPad and Android versions if $170k is raised before October 12th. A PS Vita version will be developed if the campaign pulls in $220k.
