You might remember a few weeks ago we showed you the first screenshot from Knights of Pen & Paper dev Behold Studios's next game Chroma Squad.

Well, Behold Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign to try and raise the cash necessary to get the game finished before the end of the year.

Furthermore, the Behold team has issued some more details about the pixel-art meta-game game.

It turns out that Chroma Squad is all about setting up your own Sentai studio. You'll need to film thrilling action scenes, manage your set, and buy the best special effects that your limited budget can stretch to.

Much like with the Silver Award-winning Knights of Pen & Paper, Behold will take a sideways but uncynical look at a popular part of geek culture in Chroma Squad.

So, yes, expect plenty of jokes, loads of meta-references, and the odd giant robot.

Behold Studios is aiming to raise $55,000 to finish this forthcoming iOS and Android game off. And after a couple of days, it's already attracted more than $16,000 in crowdfunded donations.

If you fancy dressing up in a tight lycra suit, wearing a modified motorbike helmet, and doing the bidding of a brain in a jar, then you should definitely head over to the Chroma Squad Kickstarter page and toss money in its general direction.
