Soul Saga Kickstarter a rowsing success

Soul Saga has surpassed its $60,000 Kickstarter goal, with $195,528 earned for development of Disastercake’s love letter to PSOne JRPGs.

At the end of June, the title surpassed its $80,000 stretch goal for PS4, Vita and Wii U development. This mean it will be released on the aforementioned formats as well as the original plans for PC, Mac, and Linux versions.

The biggest stretch goal to reach was $250,000, which would have doubled the story and content of the already 20-hour first episode in the series. Even though the goal wasn't met, the team will still develop the extra content thanks to the $2,000 donated through Paypal.

This mean Garen's saga will be implemented similar to Breath of Fire 4, where throughout the story the focus will change between Mithos and then to Garen so players can see what else is happening throughout the world.

Paypal options will be up for about another month to continue to provide funding for stretch goals.

Beta testing will begin with early prototypes of game mechanics, but will only encompass about 5-10% of the game and story.

More information on the game can be found through Kickstarter.
