Make a reservation, because space is at a premium here at the Geek Compound! Don joins us again for a new Anime segment. Jeff Cornelius, from Cosmic Wombat Games, drops in to give us the lowdown on Stones of Fate. And if that wasn’t enough, Megan & Sara sit in to help review Escape: The Curse of the Temple. Sadly, you still hear the voices of Jeff and Jordan, but try to look past that and enjoy the rest of the geeky goodness! And of course, we have to ask the important, hard hitting questions: Who’s a cute, little doggy?

Love the intro with the info. So bright and cheery! But I wanna poke you with a stick. 😛
Definitely need to reinforce about paying for legal anime streaming. People don’t realize how much it hurts real people. While I don’t like how much the US companies gouge on DVD prices, but since there are so many streaming options, there are cheaper ways to watch a lot, but still support the creators.
But like you said, Netflix is not consistent, and Hulu is almost all subtitles, which doesn’t work for us. I hadn’t heard of Crunchy Roll so we’ll have to check that out, especially if it streams on the Xbox so we can watch on the TV.
Dubbed Funimation would be cool. We’ll have to wait for an Xbox app, though.
I have such a love/hate relationship with Viz… don’t get me started… will not comment on. how. much. I. hate. Viz’s. business. practices. and. decisions.
I did like ADV, sorry to hear it didn’t survive in one piece.
Lol! Love the horrible news intro!
Wow, what a horrible crowdfunding system… it’ll just never work the way its set up.
Those are some mind-bending animes, very surreal.
Great interview with Cosmic Wombat Games! Definitely great to hear from a company that is looking to help indie designer get published. I hope their first KS is successful! The artwork is beautiful, but unfortunately it’s not one we can play. But I try to tweet it often to help promote it.
It was a lot of fun to hear Sara and Megan talking about what they liked and didn’t like about Escape. They should be on more often to talk about the games they like.
Ah, Cyrus, love that ad!
Great first part to the episode! Can’t wait for the second half!!

The ladies did an excellent job, didn’t they? They are even better in Part 2, as it’s just the two of them. When Megan asked me if I had listen to it yet, I told her that it was great and sounded like a podcast I wouldn’t mind producing. ;-} Alas, it will be a rare recording session for the both of them, but we’ll hear more as time goes along. ;-}
Sarah says
Yes, part was very cool! Sorry to hear that it will be a rare occurrence of them on the show as they were great and it was very enlightening. 🙂

Wish there was an edit button… anyway, somehow 2 got lost from the first sentence. Should read: part 2 was very cool! 😉
