The Kickstarter VR MMO Ilysia is starting early access with four servers and FreeForge characters

In VR MMORPG Ilya After announcing it would be entering Early Access this month, we were a little skeptical considering how many times it’s had to delay its beta release this year, but it actually just entered Early Access last night.

“Our team has been working hard to incorporate feedback from our community, and alongside hundreds of bug fixes and changes to what you may have seen in our previous testing phases, you’ll also notice some other brand new changes in Early Access. ” Studio Team 21 wrote on Steam. In particular, this includes the FreeForge character building system, which allows players to choose between several skill trees as well as four races, “the first 15 levels of character development” and three dungeons. Players can also expect four servers (one for Europe, one for US East, one for US West and one for Australia).

Readers will recall that the game was originally launched in 2020 for $159,000, with the promise of “taking traditional MMORPGs back to the glory days.” Wow And EverQuest. As of this writing, there are only 26 reviews on Steam, well into the “mostly negative” zone; Some of them openly admit that they’ve bombarded reviews, but others complain that the game is, well, unfinished and buggy, which is probably what one could have expected from Early Access – but that spirit is out of the bottle.

There is no new video for Early Access, but Team 21 does re-release the beta Video from earlier this year.
