Turing Pi 2 Cluster Computer NVIDIA Jetson Raspberry Pi Compute Module
The Turing Pi 2 hit Kickstarter two days ago and it has already smashed its crowdfunding goal, raising over $1.13-million USD. Put simply, the Turing Pi 2 is essentially a 4-node mini ITX cluster board with a built-in Ethernet switch that runs NVIDIA Jetson or Raspberry Pi CM4 compute modules in any combination. Think of it as a data center server rack, but far more compact, quiet, and incredibly energy-efficient.

For general compute purposes, you’ll want to install either Raspberry Pi CM4 or Turing RK1 compute modules, while the NVIDA Jetson is best used for machine learning tasks. Thanks to its two mini PCI-e ports, it also supports 3rd party extension boards, which can be used to add new hardware features, interfaces, sensors, interface converters, wireless modules, or even a cellular modem. Interested? Early backers can reserve one for $219 USD on Kickstarter now. Or, you can use a Raspberry Pi module for RUHAcam, a 3D-printed digital camera.

With the Turing Pi 2, you can seamlessly learn open-source tools such as Kubernetes, Prometheus, Docker, and Serverless with a cluster-level configuration, the same way as you would in a real data center environment,” said its creators.
