Rabbit & Bear Studios recently kickstarted title Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is now the most funded video game ever in Japan. The game reached 3 million in funding which also makes it is the 9th most funded video-game Kickstarter of all time. Here’s what Yoshitaka Murayama, the creative director behind Eiyuden Chronicle had to say about the milestone:
I don’t even know how so many people know about the Kickstarter site. I’ve only went to the Kickstarter site one time just for curiosity years ago, then never again.
This better be worth it considering the huge amount of money and support it is getting, or else they will get cancel culture SO HARD if they fail this! The pressure is on!
It is not the most funded video game, Star citizen is by far.
Yeah, it got to be it. People are still backing that scheme.
Okay, that’s irrelevant to what is being talked about here. This is in regards to Japan. Clearly.

Wow. People are really clamoring for a new Suikoden.

It looks really cool but unfortunately I can’t afford to pay $40 for the digital copy when it’s still 2-3 years away. I’ll buy it on launch.
