We all know how amazing PlayStation One games were back in the day and how, still to this day, that little grey box holds such nostalgic feelings for gamers of that era. The PS1 had a hugely varied game library which allowed it to be one of the best consoles of all time. The PS1 was also Sony’s first attempt at a console which firmly put the company on the map in gaming land, ready to take over the world with the PlayStation brand for the last two decades. For those of you who still can't get enough of the PS1, how about an unofficial hardback book that showcases all of PlayStation's published games from 1995-2005 which includes 151 games, 730 pages, and 1000+ screenshots? Sounds pretty good to me.

Over on Kickstarter, Darren Hupke who is a Freelance sound designer and comic writer has started up their own project. Their aim is to produce an unofficial book for fans of Sony and the original PlayStation. Inside the book are nearly 1000 screenshots from games released on the original PlayStation, filling over 700 pages. The focus of this book is on all the games Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) published during the complete life of the system. That spans games from 1995 all the way through the twilight years (and beyond, really) in 2005. Giant screenshots, no fluff, all nostalgia.

The "Sony's PlayStation: A Chronological Visual Retrospective of SCEA Published Games from 1995-2005" book is pretty packed sitting at 8" x 6" and covering 150 different games, 700+ pages, and almost 1000 screenshots. Hupke states that their comprehensive book is "a companion book for fans looking for more simple, nostalgic content." and that their goal is "to let the games and your own memories tell the story. All of the gaming titles within the book are organized by release date, so with each page, you see the progression and evolution of the technological feats and eras of the original PlayStation.

On the Kickstarter webpage, Hupke talks about being a long time fan of Retro Gamer magazine and Retro Micro Games Action magazine which gave them the inspiration to make their own. Hupke's hopes with this book is to cover classic games as images to tell a whole story in the same way. So, what games are included in this book then, I hear you ask? Take a look below and check some of them out.
