Kickstarter-Funded Cyberpunk Film Blood Machines Gets Exciting Official Trailer

Have you been looking for something to fill the void that has been left by the long wait for Altered Carbon Season 2 or another Blade Runner film? The official trailer for the new cyberpunk film Blood Machines might be the fix you need to get you through the rest of the year.

Blood Machines is a French sci-fi film produced by Shudder that is being funded through Kickstarter. According to io9, the movie follows "a couple of space hunters who witness the ghost of a young woman pulling herself out of a machine." Since that's not exactly the sort of thing you would find in space, they chase her in an effort to figure out what she is and what she is up to.

The trailer has been shared by director Seth Ickerman on his YouTube channel and it features the music of synthwave artist Carpenter Brut. It's an intriguing tease on what to look forward to in Blood Machines, which is giving off some serious Ghost In the Shell vibes.

This isn't the first time that Ickerman and Brut have worked together. They have previously collaborated on the music video for Brut's Turbo Killer and Blood Machines somehow serves as the sequel to the 2017 video.

For now, Blood Machines has not yet been given an official release date but the Kickstarter is still ongoing. You can pledge your support for the film here and hopefully, the movie will finally be released after December.
