It's no secret that our phones occupy a lot of our attention. If you’re someone who’s trying to curb your screen time without being completely disconnected, then wearable tech is for you. The new Norm Glasses offer a way to stay in touch with the digital world while being hands-free and more engaged with your surroundings. Marrying style with incredible function, the device augments your reality and uses the lenses and frame as a way to perform the same tasks you do on your phone without having to stare down at a screen.

So, what can Norm Glasses do? The minicomputer pairs via Bluetooth to your smartphone and uses the lenses as two portable heads-up displays. With these components working together, you can do the following: make and receive calls; send and read text messages; take pictures; answer emails; use navigation; listen to music, and more. Many of these tasks can be completed by using voice commands, touching the frame, or gesturing your head a certain way.

Human Capable Inc. is the company behind the Norm Glasses. After three years of research and development, they’re ready to bring the product to market. They are now taking pre-orders through a Kickstarter campaign, where a pledge of $329 will get you a pair of Norm Glasses and a carrying case. Choose from tinted, transition, polarized, or clear frames with or without a prescription.

The stylish and lightweight Norm Glasses use augmented reality to bring the functions of your smartphone right in front of your eyes.
