One of the more successful MMO Kickstarter projects was for a Pokemon-like "creature collection" game called Temtem. It blew past the base amount on KS and ended up bringing in nearly $575k through almost 12,000 backers. Alpha testing is currently underway, but some may have missed the initial Kickstarter. However, for a limited time, interested players can pre-order the game via the Temtem Discord and gain immediate access to the game's alpha and a copy of the game on release this September.

Preorders will be available for the next two weeks and can be secured for $35. While the game will also be released on Steam, for the time being, Discord is the only possibility for alpha access. However, on launch, the Steam and Discord versions of the game will feature crossplay.

Every kid dreams about becoming a Temtem tamer; exploring the six islands of the Airborne Archipelago, discovering new species, and making good friends along the way. Now it’s your turn to embark on an epic adventure and make those dreams come true.

Catch new Temtem on Omninesia’s floating islands, battle other tamers on the sandy beaches of Deniz or trade with your friends in Tucma’s ash-covered fields. Defeat the ever-annoying Clan Belsoto and end its plot to rule over the Archipelago, beat all eight Dojo Leaders, and become the ultimate Temtem tamer!

There's also a long tradition of taming wild Temtem and training them to fightin friendly battles against other tamers. In recent years, this has exploded in popularity due to a revolution in Temtem technology. Temtem scientists achieved the creation of the first Digital Temtem while studying new breeding techniques, and this has spurred the development of various commodities to help tamers on their adventures.
