Investment for luxury watch brand

A luxury watch brand, which was founded by a Welsh businessman, has surpassed fundraising targets for its first travel collection.

CuleM, which is based in Spain, was founded by Matthew Cule, who comes from Cardiff.

The company has raised almost £72,000 for its automatic luxury dual-time GMT travel watch on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, having initially targetted £8,600.

The Swiss-made watch of which there are 220 is to be the first in a series of nine.

CuleM said: “Your CuleM Watch is a time capsule of your travels, a collection of your most treasured journeys, and a window into a lifetime of discovery.

"These watches are for a specific group of people; those who love luxury, highly engineered watches and have a passion to travel and experience the world.

"It’s for this reason we are launching on Kickstarter – as a way to bring this community together. CuleM Watches are about the journey – and we invite you to join our journey."
