Providence Restaurant is asking the Triad community for help to reach a major fundraising goal to open a second location.The dine-for-a-cause restaurant, located at 5790 University Parkway (DoubleTree by Hilton), in Winston-Salem, is organizing a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to further expand their unique social enterprise.Nearly three years ago, Second Harvest Food Bank opened Providence Restaurant to continue the training of and giving employment to their culinary school graduates. Building off the success of the restaurant, program coordinators want to launch a second location -- Providence Kitchen. The plan is for Providence Kitchen to be located on the first floor of the BB&T building.The deadline for the Kickstarter campaign is 3 p.m. Friday, and organizers still need to raise about $1,400 of their $30,000 goal.Click here to make a donation on the Kickstarter website.
