Owners of the forthcoming Guac y Margys are looking to crowdfunding to fit the bill for the Beltline margarita bar’s crown jewel—a “custom 20-foot bar” and patio.

A Kickstarter campaign was launched Friday looking to raise “$15,000 for the buildout of our patio and bar.”

“So far we’ve scraped together $315,000 from personal savings, loans, and investors to lease the space, construct the interior buildout, buy kitchen equipment, apply for our liquor license, and furnish the restaurant,” according to the campaign page.

“However, this is the Beltline we’re talking about and no Beltline establishment is complete without a custom 20-foot bar to sip drinks and eat tacos on and a patio to enjoy the gorgeous Atlanta weather.”

Swag for donors include things like Guacamole and Queso for four ($25 pledge), Guac Y Margys clothing ($25 to $50), and a private 3-hour event for 100 guests ($5,000.)

Guac Y Margys, at 659 Auburn Ave NE in Old Fourth Ward’s SPX Alley, is slated to open summer 2018.
