A crowdfunding campaign has begun to bring Chicken Wiggle, the Nintendo 3DS game, to the Nintendo Switch. Chicken Wiggle Workshop is currently seeking $30,000 on Kickstarter. If this bar is reached by April 5, 2018, work will continue and the game will hopefully come to the Nintendo Switch eShop in December 2018. The minimum pledge required to get a code for the game is the $10 Early Bird Catches the Worm tier.
Chicken Wiggle Workshop is a platformer about Chicken and his worm friend Wiggle. Since Wiggle acts as something of a grappling hook and whip, the duo are able to reach new areas. Especially when this is combined with the Destruction Hat, Ghost, Hero Mask, Jetpack and Speed Shoes power-ups. The campaign has Chicken and Wiggle saving friends from a witch, while the level creator allows people to make their own levels and share them via a community portal.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will have the original pixel and new HD graphics. Chicken Wiggle Workshop will also be compatible with user-created levels from the original Chicken Wiggle. Grant Kirkhope, who has written music for Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee and Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, has recorded one new song for the game’s soundtrack and, if a New Music Soundtrack stretch goal is reached, will compose more songs for the game.
Chicken Wiggle is immediately available for the Nintendo 3DS.
