Data breaches are all too common, and College Park, Md.–based cyber firm Untethered Labs is looking to lock in funding for its second successful Kickstarter campaign.
The product is Halberd, a Bluetooth keyfob that automatically locks your computer whenever you walk away.
“When you get up, Halberd automatically secures your computer from intrusion and compromise,” according to the company’s video on Kickstarter. “When you return, Halberd turns your computer back on, securing all your data from breach.”
Untethered Labs has already surpassed its $25,000 goal, and as of 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, with three days to go, 385 backers have pledged $43,335. The company earned $40,050 with 760 backers in its first Kickstarter campaign in 2014.
