If you're in the market for gorgeous model toys, the Time4Machine Kickstarter is worth a look. While our caution about crowdfunding remains in effect, these metallic toys are ready for you to construct at home.

The project is built by a Ukrainian team lead by Denis Okhrimenko, who has previously worked on wooden models called UGears. Having left UGears because of what, in a press statement, he call disagreements with investors, Okhrimenko says that the metal material "gives more possibilities for precise mechanics, but the main goal was to make the assembly easy for anybody, and it was achieved."

Perhaps the jewel of the collection is what Okhrimenko calls the Glorious Cabrio. "It appeared in a daydream," he says, and has an working transmission that can switch between first, second, neutral and reverse gears. The Cabrio also has a cardan joint, a suspension and an autopilot mode.

There's also a tank, which Okhrimenko is quick to point out is "a peaceful tank," a mechanical clock that really tells time, and, unexpectedly, a mini hockey game with "knights in armour and casques" instead of hockey players.

The Kickstarter has already more than doubled its goal, and donation tiers range between $59 and $95.
