Original story posted May 8, 2017:

Deadly Premonition wasn't a blockbuster hit, but for a small segment of gamers, the bizarre humor and writing, throwback aesthetic, and Twin Peaks vibe combined into a delightful experience. Those enthusiasts can now look forward to returning to that strange universe, albeit via a different format; Deadly Premonition is getting the board game treatment.

The announcement comes via an amusing video from original creator Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro (below), which features, among other things, the venerated Japanese game developer expressing his love for fans while jumping up and down on a trampoline.

In order to move forward, the game will require funding via a Kickstarter campaign that goes live tomorrow. In the meantime, you can check out the official website for the board game, which teases “a game of innocence, incrimination, and murder.”

The original Deadly Premonition released in 2010, but it has maintained a cult following in the years since.
