Planet Explorers Heads To Kickstarter

Planet Explorers is part of the advent of independent emergent games that focuses on creativity, gameplay and originality above all else. It's part of the trio of upcoming games that really puts the Minecraft style sub-genre to work in a bombastic way, with games like Edge of Space and StarForge rounding out the experience. Anyway, the other two have already been crowd-funded and now it's time for Planet Explorers to head down the same route.

The game allows players to take on the role of a planetary explorer trying to make a home on a dangerous and wild planet. Players can terraform the land, build structures, fortify those structures, develop, craft and use weapons and survival gear as well as explore the planet with friends.

One of the really cool parts about Planet Explorers is the ecosystem that the game has, allowing players to engage and confront various types of creatures. Those tall robots really seem like they might provide a pretty good challenge as they go around stomping and destroying everything in their path.

With a goal of $100,000, Pathea Games has a long road ahead of them. If you want to contribute their cause and help them bring this game to life you can do so by visiting the official Kickstarter page, the game is also looking for some support on Steam's Greenlight Page, and you can give it an upvote or two so hopefully it can join its fellow sub-genre brethren StarForge, Starbound and Edge of Space on the road to independent success.
