Mind Grown Software has announced that they have started a Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming game, Convicted Galaxy. The game is a 2.5D space action game that blends together Rogue-lite elements with combat found in shoot’em ups. It will also feature a third person perspective as well as a variety of ship upgrades, a compelling story line, and a vast galaxy for players to explore. An announcement trailer for the game has also been released on the developer’s YouTube channel.

The Kickstarter page for Convicted Galaxy gives more information on just what backers can expect from the game, “After a catastrophic event aboard an Interstellar Correctional Fleet (ICF) prison ship, you find yourself stranded in an unknown galaxy full of escaped prisoners. The prisoners grow stronger with every passing moment. Build space stations and support structures around planets, upgrade your ship, and siege enemy locations in an effort to gain strength while weakening the enemy. Take risks when necessary, but don’t forget that you only have one chance.”

The game’s campaign goal is currently set at $10,225 with 25 more days to go. Mind Grown has listed a variety of backer rewards goals that will add content to the game, including Beta access which is scheduled to start after the campaign concludes on February 2nd of this year.
