Amazon announced a partnership with Kickstarter Wednesday to sell more than 300 crowdfunded products on a dedicated Amazon.com page.
Kickstarter Collection is a new addition to Amazon Launchpad, a portal that allows startups to easily sell and market their products on Amazon.com. The e-commerce giant rolled out Launchpad exactly one year ago, in partnership with venture capital firms, startup accelerators, and other crowdfunding platforms.
At that time, however, Kickstarter was conspicuously absent from Launchpad. Today’s announcement brings the popular crowdfunding site into the fold.
Kickstarter Collection allows customers to search items by category — like Wireless Accessories — and theme, such as “STEM Products” or “Inventing the Future.”
Product pages on Kickstarter Collection and the broader Launchpad portal also feature an “About the startup” section.
“The Secret Loves of Geek Girls,” the Coolest Cooler, and the PicoBrew Zymatic beer-making machine are among the products featured on Kickstarter Collection.
