No one would shy away from a good cover, right? Take Aretha Franklin's cover of "Respect" for example, or Ryan Adams' full album cover of Taylor Swift's 1989.

Now think of your favorite indie covers. Imagine these glorious renditions filling up the room as you watch exclusive colored vinyls dancing around your record player.

Too bad eBay is out of time machines. How could we possibly mesh the vinyl hysteria of the '40s and the 21st century's attention to beautiful things? Well, we have Sounds Delicious to thank.

Sounds Delicious is a new Kickstarter campaign: monthly vinyl subscription project from Matthew and Kasey Hickey, the creators of Turntable Kitchen—a husband x wife duo that mixes gastronomic and musical creations. This project is putting a spin on our renewed affection for vinyls.

These limited-edition 12" records will be showcasing various artists covering full-length albums. Sounds Delicious believes in the power of remaking new songs and the sheer joy of producing good music and housing them in tangible vinyl jackets and records.

Expect something like this from them:

No record player? No problem. All packages come with digital versions. You can still enjoy the production without having to buy an entire instrument. Keep those records as collectibles, because they are. Keep them in a cabinet, display them on a wall like a real music junkie.

Who will be participating? They've released a starting line-up of artists: The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Mitski, Skylar Spence, Mutual Benefit, Quilt, Jonathan Rado, Youi Zouma, Salt Cathedral, and GEMS. Additional artists will be announced over the course of the project.

Sounds Delicious operates through pre-orders on Kickstarter. These are the rewards available as a patron:

Their Kickstarter campaign started just this month. Their first artist will be recording from July to September. Finished products will be shipped to the first set of Kickstarter backers around December to January. That's a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Do yourself a favor and pre-order here.
