Ah, the hoodie. It's a divisive subject, to be sure, hailed by some as the only piece of warmth-providing knitwear a guy could ever need (incorrect), and by others as a sartorial signifier of the end of civility (also, probably, incorrect). Us here at the Style Blog? We say that it's a piece that should be employed sparingly, and, more often than not, within the comfort of one's own home. But no matter your stance on the hoodie itself, we think you should get behind the spirit of Flint and Tinder's most recent Kickstarter campaign.

The young brand is looking to create a new standard of sweatshirt — stout of fabric, reinforced of seam, and made to last at least a decade (right here in the US, too). Hell, they're even guaranteeing the thing, and offering free mending for 10 years if yours should happen to rip or come apart at the seams. In an age when some brands (which shall remain nameless) are designing clothes to fall apart over time, a new company that's genuinely devoted to well-crafted, durable clothing is, well, a good thing. Now if only they'd make a crewneck version.
