Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues Kickstarter launched

Richard Garriott has launched his Kickstarter for Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues, a project he told GI International is "the antithesis of MMOs".

According to the Kickstarter page, which launched today as promised, Garriott is returning to his "fantasy RPG roots" with the Portalarium, Inc. game, which hearkens back "his innovative early work."

He needs $1 million to get the project developed, and already $19,735 has been pledged by 364 backers.

You can find out more on the project and his thoughts on the matter through the links, and if you want even more Garriott-sims, have a look on GameSpot where Lord British discusses how his trip to space and to see the wreckage of the Titanic influenced him.
