Tides of Numenera, the Inxile-developed RPG from genre veterans which received almost 4.2 million dollars in its Kickstarter campaign, is releasing tomorrow for backers.

It's the Steam Early Access version of the game, and as such isn't the finished product.

It's the same route Inxile took with Wasteland 2, allowing players to get a taste before it's done, while also taking into account the feedback of many thousands of people playing it while it's still being made.

That's only for Kickstarter Early Access backers, though the general populace will be able to get in on the non-crowdfunded Early Access bit on January 26, so only a few days later.

Tides of Numenera is the spiritual successor to the much-loved Planescape: Torment. As such, RPG fans have been champing at the bit for a while over this one.
