Inkkas turned to crowdfunding to rally financial support for the launch of its first brick and mortar location in Brooklyn, New York. Inkkas has previously launched two successful crowdfunding campaigns in 2013 and 2014, raising over $200,000 in support for the brand.

Inkkas sells its line of handcrafted textile sneakers on its website Inkkas.com and in national retailers such as Whole Foods, J. Crew and Forever21. Using a new approach to brand expansion, Inkkas asked its fans for support on Kickstarter.com to expand their brick and mortar location at 77 Franklin Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn from a pop-up to its flagship retail location.

Fans helped Inkkas reach 100% funding on their Kickstarter project within 1 hour of launch. As a reward for participating, Inkkas will offer backers the exclusive chance to order upcoming styles from the Inkkas 2016 Spring/Summer collection as well as the opportunity to get discounts on the Inkkas Classic collection featuring the brand's signature Peruvian textiles. Inkkas is now 676% past their goal due to the support they have received from fans of Inkkas and the loyal Kickstarter community.
