End of Nations developer launches Kickstarter for World War II strategy game Victory

End of Nations and Panzer General series developer Petroglyph Games launched a Kickstarter campaign today for the studio's latest project, World War II action strategy title Victory.

Victory, in development for Windows PC, features online team-based arena combat, a quick-match feature for 15 to 20 minute fights and collectible units, allowing each player to build their own customizable armies. Units can be earned or bought in special Commander Packs, which will add random units to players' infantry. Players will also have to pay attention to the line of sight, ground height and nearby cover when tackling enemies, adding a tactical layer to combat.

Petroglyph is asking for $700,000 to complete development on Victory. According to the Kickstarter page, the title is currently in a playable prototype stage, with its basic, core mechanics in place. Backers who pledge $40 or more will get early access to the prototype, while those who pledge $25 and up will have the opportunity to participate in play sessions with the developers once the game is funded.

Check out the video above and the Kickstarter page for more information on Victory. The project is currently sitting at just over $13,000, with 29 days left in the campaign.
