In The Intergalactic Trashman, there was a massive war which ended up sending tons of garbage spiraling out in space. As this simply wouldn’t do, space trashmen were established to pick up all the rubbish and dispose of it properly. Two members of the Intergalactic Trashman group are Kepler and Xana. Their mentor, Goyold, went off to research something strange out in space but was gravely injured. Kepler and Xana then strike out from their Trashman boundaries to try and uncover the mystery that Goyold was unable to solve.

This means players of The Intergalactic Trashman will spend a lot of time exploring space! The game combines flying around in space with platforming sections and elements. While in your ship you’ll need to contend with a variety of enemies. At times, you’ll even need to beat bosses. Boss battles turn the game into something out of an arcade shooter – so be prepared! Beyond all the spaceship stuff are 2D platforming stages which seem pretty traditional. It’s in these modes when you play as Kepler directly as he bounces about stages while (hopefully) avoiding death.

Developer GloveCat Studios have certainly presented a visually adorable game. The Intergalactic Trashman features bright, cartoony art which is refreshing to see after copious amounts of pixel art platformers. The Kickstarter goal is set a bit high at $35,000 (in comparison to other recent platformers on the service) but games of the genre have succeeded for as much or more in the past. Feel free to upvote The Intergalactic Trashman on Steam Greenlight if you’d like to potentially play it on Windows, Mac, or Linux via Steam.
