An Iowa inventor who recently pitched a product to "Shark Tank" producers in Des Moines hopes his Kickstarter campaign doesn't melt away.

As of noon Thursday, Brandon Adams's Arctic Stick, a small plastic tube that can be frozen and dropped in drinks or dispense alcoholic shots into them, has received $19,155 to his campaign. He has 34 hours to reach a $24,500 goal or the funding disappears.

Adams creation came out of his work with his father's packaged ice business in Garnavillo.

While on long drives delivering ice, drinks would turn warm on hot summer days.

The Arctic Stick has a twist-off cap that regulates how quickly liquid can come out of it.
