Just what do you get for the cat who has everything? Well, here’s an idea – how about a feline-sized hamster wheel?
This one comes to us courtesy of the company One Fast Cat, who are currently seeking funding on Kickstarter in a bid to turn their cat-friendly invention in to a reality.
Granted, the concept of cat-sized hamster wheels is nothing new, as evidenced in this YouTube video from 2009:
However, the makers of One Fast Cat claim to be delivering a wheel with a difference, which is bigger and better than others on the market.
‘There are many ways to keep your cat lively, giving them access to energetic companions, making a play session part of their day, and/or offering them tempting exercise equipment for use when you’re not at home,’ the company claims on Kickstarter.
‘That’s why we came up with “One Fast Cat” cat wheel.’
The makers also inform us that the wheel is not only lightweight and easy to put together, but also has a diameter of 48 inches – which they maintain is better for your cat’s back than a smaller wheel.
And judging by the amount raised so far – $76,735 (£44,911) – rather more than the $10,000 (£5,800) they originally asked for – we can’t help thinking they may be on to something.
