A Kickstarter has been launched (and funded) to make a potato salad.

A chap from Ohio going by the name Zack Danger Brown (really), yesterday called upon complete strangers with too much money to help him make the dish.

‘I’m making potato salad’ he wrote on his Kickstarter page, ‘Basically I’m just making potato salad. I haven’t decided what kind yet.’

Kotaku reports that Zack’s original target was $10, which has since been more than met. At the time of writing people have pledged a total of $362, smashing Brown’s second target of $250.

Zack has said he will use the money to ‘make way more potato salad and probably do a third recipe.’

It doesn’t stop there. If you give him $25 or more you get a potato salad-themed hat, a ‘bite’ of said potato salad, and a photo of Zack making the aforementioned salad.

He adds that he will ‘say your name out loud while making potato salad.’ That’s got to be worth a few dollars, surely?

Since launching the Kickstarter, Brown has been able to use ‘fancy’ mayo, and is considering shipping some salad out of the country.
