superhot2The SUPERHOT Team from Poland launched their SUPERHOT game on Kickstarter not too long ago, aiming for $100K. SUPERHOT is a first person shooter game granting players the ability to manipulate time through their own movements, enabling them to avert any obstacles or bullets heading their direction, thus progressing through a level and taking down any enemies. The entirety of the SUPERHOT gameplay is puzzle based, increasing the challenge level by level. Originally, SUPERHOT was a game produced during the 7 Day First Person Shooter challenge and since then Youtubers and indie game enthusiasts alike have clung to it, creating a loyal and devoted community. The idea of a time manipulation shooter game is just too awesome to resist.

On June 13th, SUPERHOT was funded by 250% to the tune of $250,798, knocking out multiple stretch goals. As a result, we can expect SUPERHOT’s animation and art style to improve but also additional game modes along with extra challenges to play after the game’s completion.

superhot3Now that the campaign is over, what comes next?

The SUPERHOT team will be organizing the distribution of funds and continue finalizing SUPERHOT’s creation for the time being. With these funds, the living expenses for the SUPERHOT team are covered along with the hardware and software needed. Once that step is completed, we can expect them to get right to putting the finishing touches on SUPERHOT. Though release the date is unspecified at the moment we can expect to see plenty of updates in the upcoming months about the polished game’s completion and release on Steam.
