GameStick, the portable Android gaming console that runs on a stick, has been pulled from Kickstarter. Anyone attempting to access the project page will be presented with a message saying that the product "is the subject of an intellectual property dispute and currently unavailable." It’s unclear exactly what problems GameStick is facing, but the removal comes shortly after the project surpassed its initial Kickstarter goal of $100,000.

The project would have seen a $79 HDMI stick paired with an Amlogic 8726-MX processor, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with the developers estimating that around 200 games that would run on the console without any issues. The stick is also designed to snap into the provided controller when not connected to a TV, allowing for easier portability.

Update: And it's back. IGN reports that the project was removed because the user interface demo showed a game that wasn't supposed to be there. The team has edited the video to remove the offending title, hence the project restoration.
