deadflowers3The creators of the graphically stunning Amerzone and Syberia are back again with a new adventure game; and this time around they’ve gone the Kickstarter route.  The new game, The Dead Flowers Case, should be familiar to any adventure gamers out there, with rich pre-rendered environments to explore, and a mystery to solve.

Playing the part of a detective in a mechanical steampunk dystopia, players must unravel a murder mystery.  Examining crime scenes using a variety of specialized tools players will then take any clues they can find to have them further examined for evidence.  Once a suspect is tracked down, players will need to properly interrogate him to gain more information on the murder, and maybe even the mysterious behind the scenes antics of the so-called good guys.

deadflowers2Mando Productions has a lot of experience with games like these, and while static background adventures are not everyone’s cup of tea, fan of the style should give The Dead Flowers Case a closer look.  If you’re not a fan, then you still might want to check it out; if you like the art style then the various backer rewards just might be enough for you to dip into the savings account.

The Dead Flowers Case Kickstarter campaign runs until December 8th and it has a funding target of $290,000.  We’ll have more on the game in the coming weeks.
